Looking at the camera hacking forums, I got the information that gives me the
wiring information so I can add the USB plug to the camcorder. Starting at the
j5 marking on the board we count that first pin is 1. Pin 6 is
the first we need as it is the +5V (Red). Pin 7 is ground, Pin 8 is the +
(Green) and pin 9 is the - (White) using the standard USB colors. Let's start
soldering.
I cut the wires down to size and start looking for a
easy way to attach them.

I used the alligator clip from my extra
hands. It's useful in holding the wire in place as I soldered the wires to
the access port. Once I started I found out it was better to add a small amount
of soder to the camcorder first then add the wire. I also got better looking
solder points when I started to do that.
