Throughout this mod I will explain to you in greatest detail how to
put a Playstation 1 into your case. It doesn’t require much but comes
out looking great. Before beginning, you will need the following:
- Playstation
- Case
- Ribbon (optional)
- Screwdriver
- Dremel or any cutting tool
The first step is to get a Playstation, there are a
few different models that were released by Sony. Each of these
models vary a bit in design internally, we will be using the 9001
model for our modification.
The first portion of the mod is to take apart your
Playstation. Please note doing so will definitely void your
warranty if it is still valid. Flip your system over and
locate the screws on the back. Unscrew them and carefully lift
off the front cover.
There should be a black drive situated
near the middle. Remove that and place it on the side for
later use.
Next you will want to unplug the power
supply cord from the main board.
Unscrew the screws pictured below with
the red dots.
